ANNEX 1-6 Chronological Order of the Maneuver Battalions of the United States Marine Corps Arrival In-country in 1965 The following table lists the maneuver battalions of the United States Marine Corps in chronological order of their arrival in-country in 1965. These battalions are the line units for all ground combat operations conducted during the Vietnam War. In the Table below, some units show **** instead of a numerical value. This is because the unit in question was broken down into company or smaller sized units for combat operations. Therefore these units were not counted for operations purposes here. Only battalion sized units and operations are included here. Further information on specific Tank company and smaller units is being compiled by the Foundation and will be published as developed.
